I don’t want to be better than other people. I just want to help others be better people.

My first birthday gift has rolled in a few days early:

Gift from my boss and friend Gene De Libero
Gift from my boss and friend Gene De Libero

My boss, Gene De Libero, bought this piece of art for me.

Gene knows my career aspirations probably as well as I know them myself. He always encourages me to pursue my goals, and has gone out of his way to provide opportunities for me to do so.

“Helping others be better people,” is an ambiguous and lofty goal, for sure. But, it crystallizes what I hope to be true of my career when I retire/die one day. Lots to do between now and then to make this happen (more on that later), but this will certainly compel me forward when I feel like doing otherwise.

Thanks Gene!
